The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt is now accepting applications for the Fulbright Egyptian Scholar Program – Research Grant. This opportunity is designed for Egyptian faculty members and researchers to conduct advanced research at U.S. institutions for 3 to 9 months, across all fields of study.

✅ Eligibility Requirements:

• Egyptian citizenship

• Permanent residence in Egypt during the full application and pre-departure process

• Full-time faculty member at an Egyptian university OR full-time researcher at an Egyptian research center

• Hold a Ph.D. degree

• Excellent English proficiency

• Not eligible: U.S. citizens, green card holders, and individuals employed by the U.S. Department of State, USAID, Fulbright Commissions, or implementing agencies (including their families, up to the fourth degree)

• Completed online application

• Detailed Project Statement and Bibliography

• Copy of Ph.D. certificate (in English)

• Updated CV with contact info and publication list

• Letter of support from your home institution

• Three letters of recommendation

• Scanned valid National ID

• Recent personal photo

• Copies of any previous U.S. J1 or J2 visas (if applicable)
